| Description: |
A Women's Gathering (all female and non-male ID folks welcome) in Louisa County coming up in August. The event will be a three day conference on themes ranging from sex and sexuality to positive relationship building to DIY music and art. There will be scheduled workshops and performance spaces as well as lots of free time to network, drum, dance and play at beautiful Twin Oaks Community. Registration fee (sliding scale from $60-$160) includes meals and tent space. Learn more and register online at "womensgathering.org".

The Boston-based documentary "Gen Silent" will be premiering in Richmond at the Richmond Triangle Players on Sunday, August 29th with showings at 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm. "Gen Silent" is a documentary by Emmy award winning Director Stu Maddux. It follows the lives of 6 GLBT seniors and their fear of entering a nursing or retirement facility for fear of discrimination, isolation, and abuse.

Become a trained ROSMY facilitator!

| Description: |
Work directly with GLBTQ youth ages 14-20 in a support group setting. You must be 23 years old or over to become a facilitator. An application and background check are required. Please e-mail Youth Programs Director and Volunteer Manager Grayson Mitchell at youthprograms@rosmy.org to sign-up for training. This is a unique and great experience to work with youth who struggle with sexual orientation and gender identity. We look forward to seeing you there!
*YOU MUST ATTEND BOTH PORTIONS OF THE TRAINING FOR YOUR CERTIFICATION TO DEEM YOU A FACILITATOR.
*Dinner will be provided on Friday; you will have 1 hour to get lunch on Saturday.
